Welcome Back!
Term 2 has begun.
I will try my best to keep you updated.
Next week (week 3) is NAPLAN week. While this can be a stressful time, I encourage everyone - Parent and student - to do their best. NAPLAN is only a snapshot in time of how we (students) are going on the day. This is by no means the end of the world. We, as adults, know we have bad days and good days. As long as we do our best, that is all we can ask for.
School Concert - This term we will begin our preparations for the school concert. Stage 3 will have a combined performance. The classes will be joined and split into two groups. We would love to have some helpers. As we get closer to practice and prop creation time we would love to have some volunteers.
Skipping - Jump Rope for Heart.
This term we will be creating skipping routines for Jump Rope for Heart. Our performance assembly will be in Week 10.
More info to come!

World Read Aloud Day
Wednesday the 24th of February is World Read Aloud Day.
Our English Class (if all goes to plan) will be connecting with a classroom in a different country to share in the joy of reading out aloud. We will find some of our favourite story books and share them with students from different cultures.
Our CHAPS Class will be sharing some of our favourite stories with Kindy.
WHY...
World Read Aloud Day motivates children, teens, and adults worldwide to celebrate the power of words and creates a community of readers taking action to show the world that the right to literacy belongs to all people. World Read Aloud Day is celebrated by millions of people in more than 100 countries thanks to people like you who participate and spread the word across the globe!

Welcome Back...!
Hello Parents, Caregivers, Grand Parents, relatives and visitors.
I hope you have all had a great start to 2016 and are looking forward to some exciting times ahead.
As you know, this year we are working with ability based classes. I have had a great time getting to know each and everyone of the students in the three classes.
This Blog is not something I have done before. The aim is to provide a place for you to share in some of the teaching and learning experiences your children are partaking in.
We will aim to try to upload a snapshot of our learning once a week.
Wish us luck...!
Regards Taryn Fields

This Blog is open to the public and you are able to comment and interact with our class and other parents. This being the case, I ask that you take into consideration the different people and students who will be reading it. As the old saying goes, If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. If you have any questions or comments you can contact me at school or on my email.
